Tried something new for this batch. I used one of my husband’s favourite beers, Jaromír Czech Lager from Block 3 Brewing Co. in St. Jacobs, Ontario, as the base for this soap instead of water.

I went with a hot process soap method this time, which gave the bar a slightly rugged, textured top instead of a smooth finish. It is perfectly imperfect and full of character, just like this cozy, earthy soap.

Ingredients in this soap are: coconut, palm, and olive oils for a nourishing base, a touch of castor oil for rich lather, a sprinkle of sugar to boost the foam, and a bit of glycerin for extra moisture.

The beer adds a malty, earthy note that blends beautifully with a Sweet Tobacco fragrance oil. The result is a unique bar with grassy goodness and just a hint of smoky sweetness.

And yes, the double pun in the name might be lost on most people, but honestly, that is the best thing about running my own little soap world. I can call it whatever I want, and I love it.
