I’ve always loved Patchouli in soap. There’s something about that deep, earthy scent that just seems to work so beautifully in a handmade bar.
Right around Canada day this past summer, I decided to give one of my favourite scents a little Canadian treatment and make two different red-and-white versions.
The first is my Patriotic Patchouli, with a bold red maple leaf running through a creamy white bar. The second is my Patriotic Patchouli Confetti, made with little pieces of red soap scattered throughout for a more playful look.
Same warm, earthy Patchouli scent, two completely different designs.
Canada Day may be behind us now, but maple leaves really aren’t seasonal around here!
